Door To Door Storage Names Annette Jacobs as President and CEO
Storage Industry Pioneer Recruits Leader with Proven Operational Success to Guide Growth Strategy
SEATTLE – January 22, 2008 – Door To Door Storage, Inc., (www.doortodoor.com), a leading national provider of portable self-storage and moving,
today announced that it has named Annette Jacobs to serve as the company’s president
and chief executive officer.
Most recently, Ms. Jacobs served as chair and chief executive officer of
SafeHarbor Technology Corporation. Under her leadership, SafeHarbor developed
SmartSupport™, which dramatically improved enterprise Web-based product support and
was recognized with more than 16 industry distinctions in the last 18 months.
SafeHarbor also received a Stevie Award for Best Overall Company in June 2007, while
Ms. Jacobs was honored for two consecutive years as a Stevie Award finalist for CEO
and Chairman of the Year.
Ms. Jacobs combines an understanding of the technology sector in addition to a
24-year executive career managing multi-billion dollar business units in wireless and
telecom with GTE Wireless, Verizon Wireless and Qwest Communications. She serves
as the Lead Independent Director for Alaska Communications Systems
(NASDAQ:ALSK), and is on the executive committees for the Seattle Humane Society,
the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Seattle University Albers School
of Business and Economics, Dean’s Advisory Board.
